RUN 314
January 10, 2010
Guava Ridge, St. Andrew

Jill Byles prepared a marvelous trail in the Port Royal Mountains surrounding Guava Ridge and Flamstead at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Her helpers used machetes to reopen an old section of parochial road part of which went through someone's yard!

Jill invited us to see her home and garden, which contains 17 peacocks, after climbing the surrounding hills.

Hares Immaculate Perception, Maniac and BMW had assisted in setting the trail.

The grounds of the Guava Ridge Basic School offered great parking, and the school building itself shelter during the downpour after soaking wet hashers returned for the ON IN.

Murphy's law had the soup pot turn over into the dirt when the cook tried to protect it from the rain. What a warm relief this would have been for the shivering pack! But it wasn't to be!

However it really was a BIG turnout, 110 hashers longed for some exercise after the holidays. Approximately 30 new runners from Kingston and Canada were welcomed in traditional style by Captain Dozey, who still prefers to be called Rice & Peas! Why?

Visiting from Indyscent HHH, and driving across the island from Negril to join us, were honeymooners Camo Tow and Jacoochie. ON ON to the newlyweds!

Anniversaries:
Herbal Death 130, Indiana Jones 70, Count Dracula 60, Horse Whisperer 20, Ysabelle Hughes 20

Enjoy the pictures by Count Dracula,

Yours truly BMW.
